Hi and welcome to Oculow, first of all we are glad you are here, if you are reading this maybe it’s because you need to know some stuff about our Dashboard. Let’s take a look then!
The first thing you’re gonna see on your dashboard should be a table listing your projects. But.. actually, as a new member you will see a message like this one instead. So how to start and create a new project? That’s a good question!
In order to create your first test you can access to this link, there you gonna get a quick view on how to start.
Let’s continue, if you are wondering “How can I see my account information?” you are on the right site!
Our profile section
As you may see, at the top right corner of the screen you will be able to see a green avatar, click on it in order to deploy this context menu.
In here you have two options:
- My profile
- Logout
My profile
This is your profile page. You can see the progress you’ve made with your work and manage some stuff like your personal info, JIRA connection, security & password and Keys.
The main profile section is divided in 6 sections.
- Edit profile
- Current plan
- Connect with JIRA
- Security & Password
- API/Secret Keys
- Executions to use
Edit profile
Here you will see your personal information such as your First name, Last name, Email Address and Username.
Username is the only value that can’t be modified, at least for now. If you want to change another value like your First name it will be easy as typing the new one and then click on the “Save changes” button. NOTE: You will be asked for your current password to do such a request.
Current plan
As a new user, you will start with our FREE plan, meaning that you will have some limitations. But, don’t worry.. you can always upgrade your plan by performing a click on the “Change plan” button. You will be instantly redirected to our plans section.
Connect with JIRA
In short, as an Oculow user you will have the option to connect your account with JIRA just by typing your server, username and API Key.
Security & Password
Here you can change your password, you will be asked for current one. Easy as pie.
API/Secret Keys
In this section you will be able to see a table listing all your API Keys, created date and an option to remove for each one.
Also, you will see a “Generate” button below this table. Click on it if you want to generate a new set of keys. After a few seconds you will see a prompt with your new keys set.
NOTE: Remember to save your SECRET key, you are not going to see this information later on. Actually, we have an option to download your new set as a JSON file. Use it 😉
Executions to use
In this section a pie chart is being displayed to let you know how many executions you have left to use and also the passed, failed and required ones. NOTE: As a FREE member you will have only 10 executions to use, if you want more.. you can always upgrade your plan.
Executions
Talking about executions, let’s take a look at the “App executions” view. In order to reach to that view just click on the project row or “More details” button.
App executions view
As you can see, on this view you will have access to all the passed, failed and required action executions matching the previous selected project.
Same as before, you can just click on the row or “More details” button to display the validations involved on this execution.
This view allows you to see all your validations, every validation will have an attached image so you can identify it faster, a name and the actual status.
To continue just click on the “Compare” button.
Results
You are now comparing results, in here (at the top left corner) you will have 6 main functions that may serve you well.
- Baseline View
- Current View
- Comparison View
- Ignore Region
- Create JIRA Issue
- Mark this image as your new baseline
At the top right corner you will have two main options that may look different depending on your execution status. In short you can check/uncheck differences and errors. If the option is unchecked that means you are hiding, otherwise you are showing.
By clicking on the “Baseline View” button you are going to see the baseline (imaginary line used as a starting point for making comparisons) image.
The “Current view” function will display how your page is looking now.
“Comparison View” remarks all the differences between your “Baseline” and “Current” images. Actually, you can just slide that dotted line to the left/right to manually compare those images.
Ignore region
Ignoring regions on your current image now is easier than ever, just click on the “Ignore region” button and start by drawing that region you wanna ignore. You can create one or more boxes, keep in mind that you have an option to remove the last drew box or all of them at once. The final step would be saving and sending your ignore coordinates by clicking the green cassette.
Create JIRA Issue
If you have logged a JIRA account, you can create a JIRA issue by clicking the JIRA button. Our system will prompt a list showing all your JIRA projects, just choose and continue clicking the “Select project” button.
Then you will be asked for some more information. Just fill those inputs and click the “Create Issue” button.
If you still have any question like “What is Oculow?”, “How can I start using Oculow?” you can always visit the Oculow documentation section. Just click the “Documentation” link at the left sidebar.
